Leave on time for every match
Saturday morning, an away match, and the coach wants the players there 45 minutes before kickoff. So when do you need to be in the car? ScoreShare brings your child's matches in from the club calendar. With Scoreshare Pro, it also works out when to leave and keeps that time on your Lock Screen.
Departure planning requires a successfully imported team calendar and Scoreshare Pro. Start by connecting your team calendar: Connect an ICS or iCal team calendar to ScoreShare.
ScoreShare currently supports team calendars from Foot24 in Belgium and BFV in Bavaria, Germany. Support for other providers and regions is still being developed.
Screenshots use fictional teams, locations and a fixed travel estimate to illustrate the calculation.
Step 1 — Link your club's team calendar (free)
Copy the iCal or ICS subscription link for your team and paste it in ScoreShare under Match calendar. The calendar must import successfully before you can use its matches for departure planning. Linking a supported calendar is free.
Does your team use another calendar? Try pasting its iCal or ICS subscription link into Match calendar. If the format is not supported, ScoreShare sends us the link to help us develop support for it. The import may not work yet.
For Belgian teams, see RBFA fixtures in ScoreShare through Foot24.
Step 2 — See every upcoming match in one list
Under Upcoming matches you see each fixture with its kickoff, the time you need to be there and the location. Following more than one team? Add them to My teams and choose All to see your children's matches in one overview.
For each team, set Arrive early to the number of minutes the coach wants the players there before kickoff. The arrival time then appears with every match.
Step 3 — Let ScoreShare work out when to leave (Scoreshare Pro)
Departure planning is part of Scoreshare Pro. ScoreShare calculates the trip from your position to the match location. Your position is either a location you enter or the one found with the location button.
Two settings decide your departure time:
- Arrive early: how many minutes before kickoff you need to be there.
- Your margin: extra minutes for parking, picking up a teammate or a slow start to the morning.
ScoreShare works back from kickoff. For example: kickoff at 12:50, Arrive early set to 45 minutes, a 25-minute drive and a 10-minute margin means you leave at 11:30. ScoreShare also estimates when you'll be home again, taking the match breaks and the trip back into account.
On match day — your departure time on the Lock Screen (Scoreshare Pro)
Enable departure Live Activities in Departure planning. For a planned match, also turn on its Lock Screen Live Activity. Both features are part of Scoreshare Pro.
From kickoff to the final whistle
At the ground, open the fixture and choose Keep score to start the match straight from your calendar. The scoreboard and match timer run on one screen on the touchline. Once the match starts, the same Lock Screen shows live scores instead of a countdown. Family members who couldn't come can follow along through live score sharing. After the final whistle, Scoreshare Pro lets you create a new match with the same teams and match format using Play again.
When the fixture list changes
Kickoff times and venues change during the season. ScoreShare keeps your calendar up to date:
- When you start the app, your saved calendar appears straight away and ScoreShare then fetches the latest version.
- When you open the match calendar or Upcoming matches, ScoreShare refreshes it if the last refresh was at least 5 minutes ago.
- When you return to the app, the calendar refreshes automatically if departure planning is on (Scoreshare Pro).
- Pull down on the list to refresh it immediately.
